ABU DHABI: Bollywood’s beloved playback singer Arijit Singh is officially returning to the capital of United Arab Emirates (UAE), following a brief postponement of his tour earlier this year.

The artist, known for his heart-stirring performances and unforgettable hits like Tum Hi Ho, Channa Mereya and Kesariya, will now perform at Etihad Arena, Yas Island, on December 19, 2025.

The initial concert, scheduled for 9 May 2025, was postponed due to rising geopolitical tensions between India and Pakistan. The conflict, which escalated into an armed standoff, impacted several events across the region, prompting the singer to put a pause on both his Abu Dhabi and Chennai shows.

Fans had been eagerly awaiting updates, and now the wait is over. Etihad Arena confirmed the new date via its official Instagram page, bringing a wave of excitement across the UAE’s Indian diaspora and beyond.

Arijit Singh’s Abu Dhabi concert

Arijit Singh’s decision to postpone was announced shortly after the situation between India and Pakistan intensified in late April.

In a statement shared on Instagram, Singh’s team cited “recent events” as the reason behind rescheduling the Abu Dhabi concert, assuring fans that safety and coordination with local partners were their top priorities.

The Chennai leg of his tour was also cancelled. Singh posted an official note from the organisers, confirming the cancellation and promising automatic refunds to all ticket holders.

Several artists across the subcontinent responded similarly to the geopolitical tension. Singer Shreya Ghoshal cancelled her scheduled performance in Surat, while AP Dhillon delayed his album release. The entertainment sector saw a brief pause, reflecting the mood of a region on edge.

Yet, fans in the UAE never lost hope. Known for his loyal global fanbase, Arijit Singh’s return has been one of the most anticipated musical events in the Gulf. His last performance in the region drew thousands, making this upcoming show a hot-ticket event.
